Descrizione dell'intervento

L’obiettivo del progetto è la ristrutturazione dei locali posti in Piazza XVIII Luglio. Il progetto è riferito sia al primo piano (il cui progetto è presentato nell’ambito di un’altra misura e azione) sia al piano terra oggetto della presente operazione, per la quale si ipotizza la creazione di un polo di aggregazione, con la ricollocazione di servizi già esistenti e la creazione di nuovi servizi rivolti a minori ed adolescenti.
Al fine del riuso dell’immobile, è prevista la ristrutturazione dell’intero edificio, con adeguamento sismico delle strutture, completo rifacimento degli impianti e variazioni della distribuzione dei locali, con sostituzione delle pavimentazioni e delle finiture ed adattamento dei nuovi locali alla destinazione d’uso, comprese le necessarie opere per l’abbattimento delle barriere architettoniche, nonché quelle volte all’efficientamento energetico.
Lo “Spazio Aggregativo” realizzerà un insieme di opportunità di aggregazione all’interno di un complesso organizzato che propone da una parte dei vincoli (orari, regole ad esempio) ma anche risorse (psicologiche, pedagogiche e strutturali) che possono essere utilizzate da bimbi ed adolescenti. Non viene pensato come uno spazio chiuso ma piuttosto come una realtà in cui si possa vivere quotidianamente relazioni importanti e svolgere attività di interesse comune seguendo un approccio di prossimità e di sviluppo di comunità.
L’edificio sorge poco distante dal Centro Storico cittadino e nell’immediate vicinanze di Piazza Mazzini. Il recente intervento sull’ex scalo merci e la realizzazione contestuale del sottopasso posto in corrispondenza della stazione Ferroviaria ha contribuito ad abbattere le distanze e ristabilire le dovute relazioni tra esso, Piazza Mazzini e il Centro storico, rendendolo più adatto a ricoprire nuove funzioni sociali.

Description of the operation:

The goal of the project is the renovation of the building in XVIII Luglio Square, a building that is located not far from the historic city center and near Mazzini Square. The recent intervention on the former freight yard and the simultaneous realization of the underpass at the railway station has brought this space closer to the city center, making it even more suitable for carrying out new social functions.
The restructuring project refers to both the first floor (whose project is presented under another measure and action) and the ground floor, object of the present operation which is aimed at creating a center dedicated to minors and adolescents. The ground floor, in fact, where it is possible to use the outdoor spaces of the courtyard, will host an aggregation center, a further instrument to respond to particular situations of minors with family fragility. It will be used for a variety of activities, with the relocation of existing services and the creation of new answers aimed at children and teenagers in Valdelsa. A Center that will not be a closed space but a complex reality to live important relationships daily and carry out activities of common interest following a proximity and community development approach. And then educational paths, workshops and socialization activities. A set of aggregation opportunities organized within a place, with resources (psychological, pedagogical and structural) available to children and teenagers.
The renovation of the building will involve seismic retrofitting, complete renovation of the systems and variations in the distribution of the premises, with replacement of the floors and finishes and adaptation of the new premises to the intended use, including the necessary works for the removal of architectural barriers, as well as those aimed at energy efficiency.
