Descrizione dell'intervento
L’intervento prevede il recupero di alcune vie situate all’interno del centro storico, in particolare via della Rocca (530 mq.) e via Montorsoli (porzione tra piazza Cavour e via Curiel, 330 mq). Si inserisce all’interno di un più ampio progetto di riqualificazione del centro storico cittadino e delle aree ad esso limitrofe (più specificatamente la parte ovest del centro, lato stazione ferroviaria) con l’intento di potenziare e migliorare le infrastrutture a servizio del Centro Commerciale Naturale, rivitalizzare il centro e valorizzare la sua naturale funzione di ‘centro di aggregazione sociale’ e cuore del commercio. Il progetto di recupero riguarda i sottoservizi e la riqualificazione di tutti gli spazi tramite l’introduzione di nuova pavimentazione (in lastrico in pietra arenaria) in linea con quella già realizzata nei precedenti lavori già completati nel tempo, l’uso di materiali e arredo urbano adatti, specifica attenzione alla costruzione di percorsi con un andamento quanto più possibile semplice e regolare. Analogamente a quanto già effettuato su altre strade del centro l’impronta del vecchio tracciato storico delle mura di Borgo Marturi sarà evidenziata tramite posa in opera di fascia di muratura in spaccato di pietra tipo “Galestro del Chianti”.
L’intervento in oggetto è il primo di tre distinti lotti funzionali del progetto più ampio di riqualificazione del centro storico cittadino.
Description of the operation:
The project involves the recovery of some streets located within the historic center, in particular Rocca street (530 square meters) and Montorsoli street (portion between Cavour square and Curiel street, 330 square meters). It is part of a broader redevelopment project of the historic city center and of the areas adjacent to it (more specifically the western part of the center, on the railway station side) with the aim of enhancing and improving the infrastructures serving the Shopping Center Natural, revitalize the center and enhance its natural function as a 'center of social aggregation' and the heart of commerce. The recovery project concerns the sub-services and the redevelopment of all the spaces through the introduction of new flooring (in sandstone paving) in line with that already realized in previous works already completed over time, the use of materials and urban furniture suitable, specific attention to the construction of paths with a course as simple and regular as possible. Similarly to what has already been done on other streets of the center, the imprint of the old historical layout of the walls of Borgo Marturi will be highlighted by laying a masonry band in stone "Galestro del Chianti".
The intervention in question is the first of three distinct functional lots of the broader redevelopment project of the historic city center.
